Happy Easter

Last year our Easter was fairly quiet and very different compared to this year.  Last year, Sydney was less than a week out from having her surgery and was still trying to get used to having both hands bandaged and rendered basically useless to her.  She got an Easter basket, but there wasn't an egg hunt since she wasn't mobile or wouldn't have really understood it.

Easter 2011

This year, though, was a different story altogether.  We started off with a visit to Nana and Grampa's house the day before Easter.  Grampa was busy working because it was tax season, but he was able to get away for a bit to visit with Sydney.  The Easter Bunny paid a visit to Nana and Grampa's plus she got to play with an old toy that I grew up playing with as well... an ice cream truck!  Sydney loved her visit with Nana and Grampa!

On Easter morning, Sydney had an Easter egg hunt at home and also played with her haul from the Easter Bunny.  She very quickly figured out that there were M&Ms in the eggs which made the hunt highly enticing!

Delicious!

Messy mouth!

We also went to visit her great-grandmother for an Easter lunch.  Sydney had a blast doing another Easter egg hunt, blowing bubbles, and even went for a wheelbarrow ride!  She had so much fun hunting the eggs outside that we had to "re-hide" several.
